little did she know what to expect:
she would get lost along the way
and almost abducted due to neglect.
Just as she thought everything was fine
she was left behind alone on the beach
below the ocean’s high tide water line
and got swept out to sea beyond reach.
She swirled around strange creatures:
a turtle, octopus and scary shark.
Prawns and fish with weird features
down to the bottom deep and dark.
Along the way she gets some help
from more than one kind-hearted friend:
a dolphin, mermaid and even kelp ‒
come and join the journey till the end.
